Anissa Hakim
Anissa Hakim graduated August 2014 with her BS in Elementary Education from Butler University. She is now completing her student teaching as a graduate student to earn her state licensure. She participated in College Mentors for Kids by mentoring a little buddy every week for two years. As an avid reader and artist, she wanted to participate in publishing a children’s book because she has always wanted to share her passions through art and language. With the hope of encouraging children to tackle their fear of shots, Anissa wants to inform children in an encouraging way to help them see the benefits of being brave and getting their vaccinations. In addition to reading, she also enjoys painting/drawing, playing tennis, and spending time outside relaxing.
